Q: Is Casedigello an Hotel?
A B&B?
A boarding house?

An agriturismo?

A: CasediGello is a residence.
From a guest’s point of view,
there is virtually no difference from
an ordinary agriturismo.
Besides, CasediGello is one of the tourist
facilities recognized by the Tuscany
Region In fact you will also find us
in the Region's official website
www.turismo.toscana.it as well as
in the Montecatini Val di Cecina Township
website.
www.comune.montecatini.pi.it
CasediGello is registred at
the Chamber of Commerce
in the city of Pisa.

Q: Is there a swimming pool?

A: No, Gello isn a group of old houses
surrounded by a small wood
of cypress trees.
We couldn't find a good place for a pool.
There is a nice, big, deep and usually
empty public swimming pool under
shady pine trees in Ponteginori,
5 km away.
Tennis courts are right nearby the pool.

Q: Where do we to buy food?

A: In Ponteginori you will find a bakery,
grocer, newspaper stand,
and tobacco shop, pharmacy
and gas station, 5 km far from us.

Q: How far is the sea?

A: 18 km east, about 20 minutes by car.
There is a wide choice of beaches,
with or without bathing facilities,
available along the coastline which
spans from Rosignano to Bolgheri.
The Gulf of Baratti is 40 minutes away….
More reasons why we did not build
a pool on the property.

Q: Is it a quiet place to stay?

A: It so quiet you can even hear
the train passing by!
(it's a small local train that sometimes
runs along the national road, 3km away)

Q: Is it boring?

A: We have to admit nightlife
is not our main attraction.
But don’t you want some rest?
Try the hammocks under the cypresses!

Q: Are there any interesting spots nerby?

A: Volterra 20 km, S.Giminiano 35 km,
Colle Val d'Elsa 40 km, Pisa 80 km,
Siena 85 km.
There are also many little villages
to discover nearby.
Otherwise you can ride our mountain
bikes through the woods to Montecatini,
follow the Cecina river, or climb to Querceto.
The last destination requires good lungs.
(no extra charge for use of mountain bikes)

Q: We have young children with us.
Would you recommend staying in Gello?

A: Gello is perfect for kids.
The stone houses are surrounded
by the lawn and will keep you cool during
the summer.
The Gello hill is a breezy spot.
If you live north from the Apennine Mountains,
you will experience a different idea
of winter.

Q: What are the houses like inside?

A: On our website you'll find many plans
and photographs.
The apartments are situated
in rustic country houses, which have
been tastefully renovated without
betraying their original character.
Therefore floors are in terracotta tiles
(the original ones!),
ceilings have timber beams,
and the fireplaces can be used
to grill meat.

Q: How about the furniture?

A: We have chosen furniture from
the local country dealers.
Kitchens have large marble tops.
We want you to be comfortable
in front of the fireplace in winter,
or on a shady terrace in summer.
(or vice versa, if you wish)
